First time? There is nothing to it

The most common worry sounds like this: „I have a stock Jeep, what am I going to do there?” The answer is short — exactly what you feel like.

A meet is not a competition. Nobody times anyone who does not want to be timed, and nobody makes you take on an obstacle you would rather leave alone. The trails are split by how prepared a vehicle is, and at every event there is someone who will tell you whether it is worth trying.

Three things worth doing before you set off

Check the vehicle without rushing

Fluid levels, tyre condition and pressure, battery mounting, the handbrake. Nothing beyond what you do before a long drive anyway.

Take loose items out of the boot

On a side slope everything that is not strapped down ends up on the other side of the car. That includes the roof box.

Bring a change of clothes

If you are planning the Mud Race, there will be mud. That is not a figure of speech.

What to bring

  • vehicle registration document and driving licence
  • work clothes and boots you do not mind getting dirty
  • gloves — useful around every rope and shackle
  • a tow rope or strap and two shackles, if you have them
  • basic tools and a compressor to air the tyres back up
  • something warm — the end of October can be cold
  • cash, if you would rather pay on site

You do not need a lift, lockers or a winch to come. You need them only once you want to drive the hardest sections — and even then nobody makes you go in.

If you want to add something to your Jeep

The main partner picks the gear

A winch, suspension, a bumper or lighting are things worth matching to a specific model rather than buying on a hunch. That is what Szekla4x4.pl does — the main partner of the meet.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

The answers come from the organiser. Where something is not settled yet, we say so instead of guessing.

Can I come in a stock Jeep?

Yes. Both stock vehicles and ones built for hard terrain are welcome. A stock Jeep will handle most of the sections, and on the harder ones nobody forces you in.

Do I have to drive the trails?

No. The Spot package does not include trail access at all — you come, you watch, you cheer, you eat with us and you talk about cars. Trail access is a separate package and a deliberate choice.

How many people does a package cover?

The price is per vehicle, not per person. You state the number of people in the crew on the entry form.

Whether the number of people in a crew is limited in any way — to be confirmed before publication.
How does payment work?
Method and timing of payment — bank transfer before the event or cash on site. To be confirmed before publication.
How should I prepare the vehicle?

Check the fluids, tyres and pressure, the battery mounting and the handbrake. Take loose items out of the car. Nothing beyond what you do before a long drive — we have put the details on the page for first-timers.

What about coming with children?

Children are welcome on the event grounds. Since we are meeting on Halloween, we are planning games in that spirit for them.

Whether children may ride as passengers on the trails and from what age — to be confirmed before publication.
What should I bring?

Documents, work clothes, gloves, something warm and a change of clothes if you are planning the Mud Race. The full list is on the page for first-timers.

What happens if it rains?
The bad-weather rule — whether the event goes ahead regardless and what happens to the fee if it is called off. To be confirmed before publication.
Can I come in something other than a Jeep?
The meet is described as a Jeep event; whether other off-roaders are also welcome — for the organiser to decide.
Is there accommodation or space for a tent?
Whether you can stay overnight on the grounds — to be confirmed before publication.
